CHARISMA INTERIOR'S PHILOSOPHY "It is my desire, as a design professional, to assist my clients with the often overwhelming task of transforming their homes and businesses into their vision. Since completing my interior design education in 1987, it has been my goal to create interiors that reflect individual style, suit the needs of that family, while being beautiful, pleasing and comfortable. I believe that a high level of integrity combined with my design skills and attention to details have been the keys to the success of my business. "I approach every project from a logical, practical vantage point so that all of the aspects will function together as needed. Then, I add the aesthetic elements of comfort, style preference and creative, visual appeal. Of course it has to look and 'feel' great! Each client receives my enthusiastic attention to detail and follow-through to ensure a smooth flow of details and outcome. I undertake only those projects that I can adequately manage at any given time so my clients know that they will get the service they deserve. In addition, my goal is that every project takes on the individual character that each family will bring to it, in conjunction with my efforts. I get so excited when working step-by-step with each of the professionals as we all move toward a completed, outstanding, finished project. BIOGRAPHY Carol Gumpert has a passion for design and can barely remember a time in her life that she wasn't interested in interior design. A fascination with architecture, art history as well as international travel have fueled much of her design interest as has a desire to further her education by attending continuing education seminars and design shows. Her start in the business world was in the fields of management and public relations as the owner of a sports entertainment company. After 14 years in this exciting field that took her to such exotic destinations as Japan, Caribbean Islands and South America, she was able to pursue her true passion of interior design. Upon entering an in-depth, interior design college curriculum, she enthusiastically excelled in all aspects of the course work. After just a few months in the interiors program, she was offered a design and management position in a prestigious design firm in Southern California. This led to extensive experience and a vast knowledge base in areas involving accessorizing, custom upholstery design, space planning and lighting. Carol then opened her own interior design studio with a large showroom of home furnishings and decorative accessories. This was an opportunity to expand her knowledge into wholesale sources as well as retail management. After several years the desire to work directly with clients led her to return to residential interior design as her primary focus.
