WELCOME Charisma Interiors specializes in residential interior design with an emphasis on new home construction, remodeling projects including kitchen design and residential interiors. Many homeowners face the prospect of home decorating with fear and confusion. They desperately want to have a "pulled together" look but they do not know how or where to begin. Perhaps they have made several expensive purchases in the past that turned out to be expensive mistakes, and now they doubt their own judgment or ability. Charisma Interiors works closely with the homeowners as well as the general contractor, architect and sub-contractors, to insure that the details are in order and the quality of the work is up to the high standard that they expect. Not to mention, we want the experience to be fun! THE CHARISMA INTERIORS DESIGN PROCESS The starting point is a review of the homeowner's needs and ideas for the areas involved. Next, is an examination of the family's needs, such as number and ages of children, pets, entertainment style and typical number of guests. Priorities are set as we begin planning a strategy together that will assure the success of the project. A "Master Plan" is outlined and then divided into "Phases" which emphasizes the immediate planning for the areas to be started first. Any structural work is planned, followed by finish details, furniture and decorating. This is where a discussion of the client's budget occurs. To get the ball rolling, a meeting with the design team of contractor, architect and interior designer get all of the professionals on the project working together to insure the best possible outcomes. Shopping trips are scheduled to finalize the selections for everything from flooring, tile and plumbing fixtures, to upholstered furniture, lamps and accessories. This is a very exciting part of the process, as a myriad of products are explored and the design starts to take on color, design and uniqueness. In some instances custom designs are created for such concepts as built-ins to house an entertainment center or a library as well as for custom sofas or coffee tables to meet your special needs and tastes. Project management is often one of the most important aspects of the Charisma Interiors design process, since it can assure that the project proceeds smoothly, with as few delays and errors as possible. This aspect involves regular visits to the project site to review the progress, answer questions that the sub-contractor might have, inspect the quality of workmanship and to verify that the products and materials are being installed correctly.
